Practice statement

Making is the most hands-on manifestation of fieldwork practice. It primarily focuses on various forms of artistic creation (drawing, illustration, collage, etc.) Making can look like: sketches and idea exploration, one-off creations, collections or series (example: collages done as part of Februllage).

An old TikTok audio best summarizes my approach to making:

‘If there’s one thing that you should know about me, it’s that my homosexual audacity leads me to believe I possess any and all required skills to complete whatever project I’ve set my mind to, despite having absolutely no previous experience in that particular craft’.

Combine the above with a dose of ‘I like buying hobby and craft supplies’ and ‘I have the attention span of a hamster’… and there you have it: fieldwork making!
